Use: The B-SYS measures an examinee's potential to be trained as a systems programmer. The test was designed for candidates who have no significant systems programming experience. (For testing experienced systems programmers, see SYSPRO in the Proficiency Test Section.)
Description: Using the tutorial, the examinee learns how a typical operating system functions, including schedulers, interrupt handlers, jobs, and system services. The test questions measure the examinee's ability to understand and utilise the operating system functions, as well as the ability to deal with both typical and challenging system problems.
